Me:

My name is Jens Hoffmann and look-s.de is my main project to present my photographic work. I was born in 1965, live in Bonn, Germany with my wonderful family and work as a scientist in the field of biotechnology.

My Pictures:

Usually black & white which is for me the prefered possiblity to capture light, shadows, structures and emotions.
My motives are not predefined. I am attracted by all things which I recognize as a possible photograph. This includes people as well as architecture or landscapes. My philosophy is easy: The world is as it is and there is no reason to use any tools to change what I saw at the moment when I looked through the viewfinder. While having a look at my photographs please keep in mind that no display on this planet is able to show the beauty of a hand made darkroom print.

My Equipment:

I shot film and do all the processing by myself in the darkroom. The gear I use is mentioned in the information for every shot. If you have additional questions please ask via commenting or by mail.
